The story
Islam in East Africa, especially in Ethiopia, Somalia & Tanzania have a long Islamic history of over 1000 years, some reports state of some Sahabah in the region. Somalia is all Muslim, and Ethiopia and Tanzania have Muslim populations of about 60%. Ethiopia and Somalia have strong Muslim Communities but unfortunately Tanzania Due to the unfavourable education structure, the deen has been heartbreakingly rapidly declining and requires urgent support to revitalise the Deen their.
To ensure the successful revival of the Deen, a two part strategy has been devised. The first part, is to create a Social Entreprise that helps the local community while the continued profits would ensure the projects are self funded. The profits from the Social Enterprise ensures that the second part is 100% self-sufficient. This part concentrates upon strengthing the Islamic education of the new generations, this is in the form of Madrasas, teachers training academy and vocational colleges.
Alhamdullillah a variety of vast lands and various buildings have been made available for ready to use immediately for both parts of the projects. Funds are urgently needed to ensure that the Social Enterprise expands and is fully self-sustainable to ensure successful education strategies are urgently implemented.
In Ethiopia and Somalia the support would be to build Eco-Masjid/Madrasahs. The communities normally require mainly assistance for the construction phase, thereafter the community help with the full running of the Masjid/Madrasah, all its expenses are covered alhamdullillah. Projects are more straightforward as a result alhamdullillah.

The Need
A huge lack of Madrasahs especially for girls is undermining the futures of the communities in East Africa, and is a recurrent theme across the Ummah sadly. Big efforts and strides need to take place as an immidiate urgency to try and reverse the damage or at the very least preserve communities.
The Solution
Your donations will fund:
Eco-Friendly Masajid and Madrasahs in East Africa – Tanzania, Ethiopia, Somalia and Yemen. Construction costs range from vary depending on size and location. At suitable sites a water well will be installed.
Support for Waqf land: £300 per acre, creating long-term sustainability for the projects.
Support for Waqf boat for £2,500, a social enterprise to empower and train vulnerable local youth, along with a profit share to help the youth sustain a family and other profits portion to help run a local small to medium size Madrasah.
